You are good. And you are capable of change and growth. But life can be really challenging at times. We get hurt. We feel stuck. Healing and progress are possible when you have someone to talk with who is genuine, empathic, supportive, and non-judgmental. Above everything else, I strive to create that kind of relationship with my clients.

I empower my clients to identify what they want to change, set their own goals, and then we pursue those goals together. My approach is collaborative. You are the best expert on your life. But sometimes it’s difficult to fully see ourselves for who we are, where we came from, and how we are interconnected with our families, friends, communities, and cultures. I use Person-Centered techniques and interpersonal processing to help you reflect on your thoughts,
emotions, experiences, stories, and relationships for you to more clearly understand who you are and to feel empowered to make decisions and overcome any obstacles you have to move forward.

We are body, mind, heart, and soul and our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and physical experiences are all connected. Faith and spirituality can be a great source of meaning and comfort. But spiritual struggles can be painful and faith communities can be places where we experience real harm and suffering. So I also help clients explore their spiritual beliefs and practices and how they affect the other dimensions of their life.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife and kids, reading, listening to podcasts, and watching Netflix. Before getting my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I worked for eight years as a lay minister in the Catholic Church and I continue to lead retreats when I can.
