Julie Wellman

LPC
Okemos & Virtual

I have professional experience and background in treating adults and college students in both a university and private practice setting. My counseling approach focuses on building a strong relationship with my clients, ensuring a supportive and effective therapeutic experience.

I have a strong passion for working with individuals navigating grief and loss, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I am particularly drawn to assisting college students and young adults with issues such as identity development and values clarification, helping them to find their path and achieve personal growth.

My strengths include quick rapport building, thorough assessment, and treating a patient through a systemic lens. I believe collaboration with other professionals is key, and that therapy works best when supportive services are included in treatment. I am strength-based in my approach, supportive yet direct, and tend to build long-lasting relationships with my clients.

I have degrees from both Michigan State University and Central Michigan University. My career path has had several stops along the way and this allows me to use both my educational and personal experiences in my work with others. I hope you will allow me to join you on your own journey forward.
