Who Am I?
I strongly believe that an individual’s mental health challenges do not define who they are and do not have to control their lives. I am committed to working with you to help you see things from a new perspective that is empowering, fulfilling, and life-changing. I believe that everyone holds the key to unlocking that perspective, but sometimes we need guidance to achieve that goal.
I received my master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2014. Since then, I have worked at a non-profit organization doing group therapy and individual counseling, and managed and facilitated therapy at a short-term residential/detox facility. I am excited to join the excellent team at Red Cedar Counseling. I live in the area with my wife, Sarah, and our beloved dog, Charlie.
How I Help
Over the past several years, I have worked with individuals battling mental health challenges. I have counseled people with mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, and others.
I utilize various treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, motivational interviewing, strength-based therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I enjoy working with diverse populations and focus on person-centered therapy. My goal is to establish a safe space for clients where they can progress and utilize their own strengths to achieve stability and success.
