I discovered my purpose to help others when I went through my own transformative experience engaging in therapy to deconstruct patterns of unhealthy and unhelpful ways of thinking. I understand that, as a therapist, it’s crucial to have a genuine curiosity for my clients and to foster authenticity in our therapeutic relationship to make lasting progress.

When working with me, the process will always be guided with your best interest in mind. Whatever challenges life brings your way, I will provide a safe space and use compassion to help you build insight and self-awareness. This will enable you to identify your strengths and areas for growth, ultimately guiding you to feel more fulfilled, whole, and true to yourself.

I practice from an empowerment-based and holistic perspective. I appreciate the value that the little things in life hold for all of us, such as being connected to music, art, animals, and the natural world. I will also work with you on identifying unhealthy patterns of thinking and behaviors that negatively impact your self-esteem and relationships, while keeping in mind how your environment and the world around you impact you as an individual. The ultimate goal is to put you in control of your emotions and behaviors, rather than letting them control you, and to ensure you have the skills and insight after therapy to continue thriving.

I received my Bachelor’s of Social Work and Master’s of Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. I have notable experience with women’s issues, sexual assault and other traumas, crisis intervention, and short-term crisis treatment planning. I have completed training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and regularly practice strengths-based and person-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, CBT, mindfulness-based, and narrative therapy.

I live with my two fur-babies, Oslo and Juniper, and my foster fur-baby Tao. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, bike riding, listening to music, playing violin, and making art.
