Who Am I?
Olivia is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) who graduated with her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Michigan State University. After earning her undergraduate degree, she gained experience helping people through crises and trauma while working at Catherine Cobb Safe House, a domestic violence and sexual assault residential shelter. During her time there, she recognized her passion for helping others through their trauma and other mental health issues and realized she wanted to become a mental health counselor.
Olivia lives in Ann Arbor with her Australian Cattle Dog mix, Korra, and enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, watching shows/movies, crocheting and other craft projects.
How I Help
Olivia believes that everyone has the capacity to grow, change, and overcome life’s challenges. Clients can gain a different perspective and awareness in their lives by examining their core beliefs, values, and thought and behavior patterns. They decide what they would like to change or work on to be able to better relate to themselves and their environment. Olivia works with each client from a cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness approach with a holistic perspective. She looks at all areas of a client’s life (physical, spiritual, emotional, and social) to help them achieve balance in their lives.
