Who Am I?
Hi, I’m Mariele (pronounced Mary-ull). I have the privilege of working with individuals and couples who are ready to create meaningful change in their lives. Over the past five years in the mental health field, I’ve developed a passion for supporting clients navigating anxiety, OCD, relationship and family challenges, sex and intimacy concerns, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma.
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Central Michigan University and am currently pursuing certification as a Sex Therapist through the University of Michigan Sexual Health Program.
How I Help
I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. My approach is relational and collaborative, grounded in authenticity, mutual respect, and genuine human connection. I view therapy as a partnership meaning we’ll work together to identify your goals and determine the most effective path forward, while honoring that you are the expert of your own experiences.
I tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs. I have completed Level 2 training in the Gottman Method, a research-based approach to couples therapy, and have additional training in trauma-focused modalities including EMDR and Brainspotting. I also draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I value openness and feedback in the therapy process and encourage clients to share what is and isn’t working. My goal is to provide care that feels effective, supportive, and aligned with your needs. If at any point I’m not the right fit, I’m committed to helping you connect with a provider who is.
