Social Work Intern
Okemos & Virtual

Whether you’re a child, teen, or adult, embarking on the therapeutic journey can feel like a big first step and might come with a mix of emotions. I want to assure you that this is a safe space where you can be yourself, grow, and make the changes you want to see in your life. I have a passion for working with children and teens, as well as people from the LGBTQ+ community and those who are neurodiverse – though truthfully, I am so delighted to be working with anyone seeking support, no matter their background or stage of life.

I have around 10 years of experience working with young people in various settings. Throughout this time, I have led support groups for bereaved children, trans teens, and non-binary young adults; provided crisis counseling services; and coordinated no-cost therapy services for trans teens. These opportunities to serve young people and engage with individuals who have found themselves in difficult places are what led me to realize that I could provide the most support to others by becoming a social worker.

When we work together, I take an open and affirming approach and strive to see you empowered in your life. I am excited to use a wide range of techniques to support you on your healing journey, and I have a special interest in utilizing play therapy, art therapy, bibliotherapy, and parts work.

I am currently completing my Master of Clinical Social Work at Michigan State University and will graduate in April 2025. Prior to attending MSU, I studied at Eastern Michigan University and obtained my Bachelor of Social Work. While at EMU, I completed an Honors project where I created a children’s book to be used as a resource for children experiencing Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder.

I’m really hopeful that I (along with my service dog, Woody) can be a good fit for you as you walk this new path in your life!
