Who Am I?
I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Northern Michigan University. Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients across a wide range of backgrounds and needs, including 10 years in community mental health settings in Alaska. That time deeply shaped my perspective, it reinforced how vital it is to feel truly understood, regardless of where life has taken you.
Above all, I strive to build a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, empathy, and mutual respect. If you’re looking for someone in your corner, someone who will walk alongside you as you do the hard and meaningful work of healing, I’d be honored to connect.
How I Help
I believe the foundation of effective therapy lies in a strong, authentic connection. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported, where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment. Therapy, in my view, is most powerful when both the therapist and client are able to be fully present, honest, and collaborative in the work.
My approach is rooted in person-centered care, meaning every session is thoughtfully tailored to meet your unique needs, goals, and experiences. I draw from a variety of evidence-based modalities to ensure our work together is both relevant and actionable. I have specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and regularly integrate tools that promote emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. This flexible, client-centered approach allows me to adapt as your needs evolve, whether you’re navigating a difficult transition, managing symptoms of anxiety or depression, or working toward long-term personal growth.
